
There have been quite a few conversations going around this past weekend about Know More Media shutting down operations. In the spirit of being transparent and keeping you, my valued reader/customer, updated on what's going to happen with this blog, I'd like to address some of the many questions I received in my inbox this morning and over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who emailed me. I appreciate your concern...
Management has yet to make an official announcement, but I did receive the email last week from them saying that as of August 1, 2008, Know More Media will cease operations. However, that doesn't mean that this blog is going away! I just won't have the technical support and income that I had before. However, I didn't have to think twice about whether or not I will continue writing here. I have a great deal of passion for customer service and I'm still on my mission to create a better business culture not only in the U.S., but around the world.
I have the utmost respect for all the Know More Media team, especially Easton Ellsworth, Kimberlee Morrison, and Dan Smith. They've provided a great deal of support and have helped me become a better blogger in all respects.
As the saying goes, "When one door closes, another one opens..." I always maintain a positive attitude and look for the silver lining. In my case, I have several silver linings.
That said, for the next couple months blog posts will be light here as I delve into these silver linings! I have a couple customer-service related projects taking off - one is going to be kept a secret for now ;) I will say, though, that I'm currently working with several clients and helping them build their online presence.
I will be posting only once or twice a week throughout August and early September. I do welcome anyone who would like to submit a guest blog post! You can email your submission to maria[at]customersarealways[dot]com.

I am glad you will keep blogging here. You are one of the bloggers I feed to www.PersonalBoardofAdvisors.com because excellent customer service is a culture brand in need of a, um, re-brand many times over. Your work is good. If you do change focus, let me know so I can focus your work in my discussion board on customer service.
