The summer season is a time when many families go on vacation. For many it can be a stressful time because they have to deal with the airlines and their 101 rules, but others may find solace in just exploring the city they live in. I live in San Diego, so there are many things to do and plenty of tourists around, so the city is always buzzing with activity. Many people visit San Diego because of all the different attractions like the San Diego Zoo or Lego Land. So this summer I thought it would be interesting to visit some of these tourist attractions and report my experiences. Disney Land is known for creating a great experience for its customers, so I wonder - how do other theme parks measure up?
The first place I've visited so far is the San Diego Wild Animal Park. I should have scheduled this visit sometime in September or back in May when the weather wasn't blistering hot! I seemed to have forgotten that some parts of the San Diego area can have temperatures of 100 degrees and above. If you really want to experience what it's really like to live in Africa surrounded by wild animals, visit the park during the summertime. If it weren't for the mist stations that they had set up in various areas of the park, I think I would have melted!
The park was well-maintained and we felt welcome everywhere we went. The volunteers and animal caretakers took time out to thank the park visitors for their support. Because the Wild Animal Park is a non-profit organization, all of the entrance and membership fees go to supporting the care of the animals.

"Well, we might as well exchange it since you're here...."
Note to self: Anytime a store refuses to return or exchange an item, send in big, buff boyfriend to scare the cashier ;)
Overall, though, we had a great time. Next week I'll be reviewing the San Diego Zoo...so stay tuned!
