Whenever I need a little inspiration in my life (and who doesn’t!), I like to listen to Deepak Chopra talk. This weekend as I was browsing YouTube, I came across this video of Deepak talking about success and happiness as it relates to business. I didn’t know that he was a professor at the Kellogg School of Management, so it was interesting to see him talk about something other than spirituality and well-being.
One key takeaway from this video is not to focus so much on achieving success, but rather, focus on tending to the needs of the people (employees and customers) you serve. Again, this brings us back to something I have talked about time and time again on this blog which is this idea of “focus”. If you focus on your customers, it’s inevitable that you’ll be successful in business. Sometimes you have to sacrifice the numbers - like during the economic climate we’re experiencing right now - but if you stay focused on building relationships, in the long run it will be well worth it.

I've never listened to Deepak Chopra, and so this was really great stuff. I really liked what he had to say about the importance of relationships.
Great blog!
