
The same type of thing happens when you go to the store and everyone is huddled in a certain area. People are excitedly grabbing stuff off the shelves and you start to think, Maybe I should get one of those too...
So, are you doing what everyone else is doing? Do you have customer service "policies" just because everyone else does? What if, for just one day, you didn't have policies and just treated your customer the way you wanted to be treated if you were in their shoes?
