
"BIC Firms Increased Service Revenue by 41%"
I read this news headline today but didn't read the article. As a customer, do I really care that BIC firms increased their revenue? Not really. All I care about is that they gave me great service.
However, it did make me think about the need for business people to always be thinking about "the numbers".

Do the numbers really matter in the grand scheme of things? What if we took away all the numbers, the competition, all the money, and all the job titles. What would we have left? What would you be doing? Would you still have the desire to help your customers? Would customer service still be your focus?
Just a thought.
