Jonathan Pfleuger's Currant: Creating Noteworthy Experiences
Jonathan Pfleuger's Currant is situated on a busy downtown street of San Diego.  On a gorgeous warm sunny day I strolled in for a little afternoon delight consisting of sultry wine and relaxation.  There's something about a good white wine while sitting on a plush, velvet chaise that makes an experience that much better!

The%20Bar.jpgI didn't have lunch there, so I can't comment on the actual service by the wait staff.  However, I do know that the restaurant had a good, relaxed vibe and the two employees that I did interact with (the bartender and hostess) were pleasant and cheerful.  As I enjoyed my glass of wine, I observed the bartender engaging in conversation with patrons sitting at the bar.

Creating a "total experience" for your customer includes a warm and inviting atmosphere which I believe Currant did deliver.

What are you doing to create an noteworthy experience for your customers? How do you go about creating an experience that they will remember?

In a business world plagued with the "sameness" bug, I think one of the most important things you can do to make sure your customers remember you is to provide a unique experience.  In the case of restaurants this means having unique fixtures and decor that are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

Above all else, creating a total experience for your customers means having a staff who is attentive and pays close attention to details.  You can have a fancy-looking restaurant, but if the servers are stuck up and the service is poor, then what's the point?
