Dance Your Way to Productivity and More Sales

As I've probably mentioned before, one of my favorite day time shows to watch is Ellen Degeneres.  I make sure not to miss the beginning of the show because 1) I love her monologues and 2) I love to dance. If you're in an area of the world where Ellen doesn't show, here's a little clip for you...

So, this morning before I did anything, I threw in The Beatles and boogied to "Twist and Shout".  It was a great way to start off the day!  Read about how music can move your brain waves and benefit you!  Try dancing tomorrow morning...I guarantee you'll have a more productive day and dealing with customers will be a cinch ;)

Ok, so maybe you don't like to dance (which would be tragic!), here are some other ways to put a smile on your face in the morning.

Or, you could read this blog first thing every morning:-)

Personally, I look forward to it.

Maria,

What a great way to start the day! You are right! Two Thoughts:

1. One of my audience members once told me that when they shut the doors to their bank (where she worked) on Fridays they would blast the music and just dance while they went about their closing duties. What a way to end the week too!

2. Leaders can learn even more about customer service by watching Ellen. Watch how she engages her audience - and not just in the monologue. She features audience members on the show, invites them to participate and will even call a surprised fan on the phone occasionally. She turns her audience (or customers) into the stars of her show and it works! Her customers feel like they are part of something. Who doesn't want their customers to have a sense of belonging to their business...so they keep coming back? It has worked for Ellen!

Great post!

Great article Maria. Only thing is, The Beatles did not sing Tist and shout, I believe it was the Beach Boys.

Hi Glenn -- Aww, shucks! *blush* Thanks so much for reading...

Donna - I love how Ellen gets "ordinary" people on her show to share their inspiring stories. It's not all about "celeb talk" with her.

Leeroy - Here's the Twist and Shout that I'm referring to. Thanks!
