During my recent
trip to Las Vegas for BlogWorld, I decided to have brunch at the
Courtyard by Marriott that is located right across the street from the Las Vegas Convention Center. Since I've been reading the book,
The Spirit to Serve Marriott's Way, I wanted to see for myself just how great the service is.

I was actually blown away by the experience. The server was upbeat and friendly - absolutely nothing "fake" in her demeanor. Every server that passed by my table acknowledged me either with a smile or hello. One of them offered a cup of orange juice, however, I just stuck with my cup of coffee. Then there was the server who even apologized for talking to other customers right beside my table. He happened to be walking by when the customers stopped him to ask a question. No big deal, but he was courteous enough to think of me.
However, when I went to use the restroom, what really took me by surprise was the little black rocks in the sink. Pure zen. Some of you may not think rocks in the sink is a big deal, but something about it really made the experience.
Did Marriott live up to my expectations? Heck yeah - and then some!
