
When we think of service, we usually think about those companies and individuals who sell products and services. We often don't think about those who serve for the greater good of all - which, in essence, is the "bigger picture" or the highest goal of all.
Jerry Lewis is one of those people who has served others for decades. Many know him from back in the days as an actor and comedian, but nowadays he is most famous for the annual Labor Day telethon that he puts on to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This year's telethon hit a new record of $64 million raised.
I'm sure that Jerry Lewis has looked at this as a way of not just giving to those in need, but it's also a way of giving back to all those "customers" who supported him on his journey into showbiz ;)
