
Just came across a great post over at The Consumerist titled 5 Confessions of a Comcast Customer Rep. I'm not subscribed to any of Comcast's services, but I can certainly empathize with those of you that do. Remember last year when someone caught one of Comcast's techs sleeping on the couch after waiting an hour to get in touch with customer service?
Well, recently an AT&T tech guy came out to the house and he had to call customer service. He ended up waiting for about 10 minutes to get someone on the line. I asked him if there was a special "insider" line he calls to get to customer service and his answer was, "I call the same number you do..." What a shame.
I like this line in the post:
"When a business gets large enough it turns into a machine and the only thing that makes it seem human is the people they hire."
