While I was in Bank of America the other day, I browsed through the company's publication, Business 24/7. There's an interesting article in the latest issue entitled "The Beauty of Branding" by Reed Richardson. Here's what Richardson says:
"...branding comes down to making and fulfilling a promise to your customers..."

Richardson also quotes Yaro Starak, an Australian entrepreneur who blogs at SmallBusinessBranding.com. Stark says this about branding:
"Small business branding is not a good logo, a rhyming name, or special font. It's the way relationships are built and maintained, the way a person does business and treats other people."
So, the next time your team gets together to discuss how you can build a better brand, think about defining your business as the one that "provides exceptional service".
Bank of America also offers a customer service newsletter full of tips...
