
Many of you have probably heard about Mattel issuing a major recall for toys that contain lead. The first question that comes to mind is: What kind of quality control does Mattel have if any?
If anything, this is a great example of what happens when you focus too much on creating an inexpensive product - the quality of the product suffers and you put people's lives in danger. In the end, you end up spending much more than if you had just gone for quality in the first place.
It's the same with people. Why not invest a little money in helping your employees become quality customer service reps?
