Today I decided to eat out for lunch...and had this craving for a Big Mac (please spare me the lecture!). So McDonald's it was. I couldn't help but notice this statement on the bag:
"There's only 100 percent pure beef in our beef"

Now, how do I know for sure that there's actually 100 percent beef in a McDonald's hamburger? Shouldn't McDonald's back up with this statement with some proof? When a company tells me what I can expect from their products or services, I expect actions to speak louder than words. I don't know exactly how McDonald's would be able to give us proof of that statement...but it's something to think about!
What about you? Are you delivering on your statements you make to customers? Are you giving them proof? We hear many companies who say that they're "dedicated to customer service", but time and time again we're seeing that their actions contradict those statements.
