Well, this wasn't very obvious for me, but it makes a whole lot of sense...
Why not build a MySpace page for your business and ask your customers to be your "friend"? I've been using a personal MySpace profile for awhile now to keep in contact with friends and blog readers, but I never really thought about creating a page dedicated to my business.
MySpace is virtually pretty easy to use and you can keep in contact with customers in so many ways - provided that your customers have a MySpace page as well. If your customers don't have a page, perhaps you can entice them to create one in exchange for a discount off their next purchase!
So, how can MySpace benefit you?
- You can start a blog on MySpace and post any news, updates, and sales about your company
- You can send a bulletin to all your friends (customers) notifying them of any special events or "hot" news about your industry
- You can find out when your customers' birthdays are and send them a card
- You can build a relationship with your customers by visiting their MySpace pages and leave comments on their page. By doing this you are also advertising your business because visitors to your customer's page will see your comments as well.
- Customers can get to know you on a more personal level
Remember that not everyone reads blogs (yet), but most people know what a MySpace page is! Who said that marketing your business and keeping in touch with customers had to be boring?
