These past couple weeks I've noticed a theme in many of the blog posts I've read... Positive thinking! It's a trait that any person in customer service should have. Actually, wouldn't it be nice if everyone was a positive thinker? Maybe we wouldn't have all the stress and tension in the business world if more people were positive.

I recently shared a personal experience about turning negativity into positivity over at one of my other blogs, The Good Life. That post was part of a group writing project over at the Think Positive! Blog. Dr. Kirsten Harrell put this writing project together as a precursor to Positive Thinking Day which is planned for September 13. You can be a part of this writing project too!
There are tons of other great bloggers talking about positive thinking and I'd love to share everyone's post with y'all, but of course, I can't... However, I'd like to point out one article in particular which was written by Darryl Rosen of Grand Slam Results - The Power of Positive Thinking. Darryl shares some great tips to help you develop a positive mental attitude. One of the tips is "Don’t dwell on the negative." I think this is one of the most important tips to follow. When you dwell on the negative, it just brings your energy levels down and affects how you deal with customers. If you've ever had to deal with a difficult customer (and who hasn't?!?), you know that this one encounter can affect the rest of your day. Shake it off and move on!

Hi Maria,
Thanks for helping spread the word about the PTD writing project here too! I appreciate it.
I agree... if everyone was a positive thinker, we would have a different world. Until then... one person, one thought at a time. :)
