There are many sides to this story and if you read the comments over at BloggingStocks, you’ll see just how emotional people feel about Sprint. I still have yet to come to a concrete opinion about Sprint’s decision after writing about Sprint the other day - only because I’ve been in Sprint's shoes. I’ve had to fire a client before…
When I was a real estate agent I had a client who would call me about five times a day to get information about a home she was purchasing. She wanted things to be done right there on the spot and sometimes things can take a day or two to accomplish. Sometimes this client would call me at night - not once, but twice. Needless to say, dealing with her was a bit stressful and it took time away from my other clients. I just had to let her go.
However, the firing of my customer did not hurt my business. My business was small. Sprint, on the other hand, has millions of customers who are probably blogging up a storm at this very moment about how Sprint did them wrong. Most people are going to take these rants at face value and cancel their accounts with Sprint. These blog posts will forever be in the blogosphere for future generations to read…
And by then Sprint may be like those huge dinosaurs…extinct.
