I almost ditched my cell phone company today. I was so, so close to saying, "It's over." However, it took only one very helpful person to change that all around...
Yesterday I called
Cingular about my service and usually I am asked by the robot who answers the phone to speak my phone number or enter it on the keypad.

However, for some reason the option to enter my number on the keypad wasn't given and of course, I was standing on the busiest street in downtown San Diego, so the robot couldn't understand anything I was saying to her.
Well, I decide to go to a pay phone hoping the robot would understand me better via a land line. No dice. I ended up looking like a mad woman yelling my information into the phone. Yes, my blood started boiling at this point and in my mind I was cursing Cingular for having a robot answer the phone. Not to mention that there was an "unusually high call volume" at that moment. Go figure.
Finally, I walk over to the next block where there is an AT & T/Cingular store - thank Goodness. The CSR, Alma, helped me solve my issue and on top of that I received a $15 credit for my troubles!
So, for now, I'll give AT & T/Cingular a thumbs up!
T-Mobile will have to wait to get my business...
