Word of Mouth Marketing: Still the Best
Word-of-mouth marketing…it’s still the best way to get customers.  Back in the day when there was no radio, TV or newspapers, how do you think people knew where to get things?  Most likely a friend, companion or whoever was around told them where to go.  When the Indians needed a bow and arrow and were too lazy to make their own, they probably asked around to find someone who could makeword%20of%20mouth.jpg one for them.  How do you think Digg got to be so big?  You didn’t see them advertising on the Superbowl, but just about everyone who blogs knows about Digg!

When I sit down to look at a new project or opportunity I try to ask myself or the client; "How did this get done before the way it is done now?" If you keep going you can find that, as often happens, everything old is new again. So, here we are using WOMM just like our grandparents or great-grandparents did.

This does not always work but one thing it also does is to help us remember to look at the basic issue not the flashy technology.
