Well, as you may or may not know, I run several blogs -- so there’s statistics to review, orders to fill, PR people to deal with, people to thank, blog feeds to read…and boy, do I love to read!!
What I’ve come to realize is that I’m missing those real connections - the ones where you just pick up the phone and hear someone’s voice…to feel that positive energy that helps you survive. Feeling that sense of accomplishment that you’ve helped someone with a problem or simply put a smile on their face.
We can sometimes get caught up in our little bubble - especially if we’re a manager or an executive. There are reports and sales to go over, phone calls to suppliers, meetings, meetings and more meetings about things that have nothing to do with our customers or things that won’t benefit our employees. Those customers and employees - friends, if you will - are the real connections.
Are you connecting?

Gosh, that's a lot of blogs, Maria! I have enough trouble keeping up with one. How do you do it? I wrote about staing focused in customer service terms the other day.
