The Hanford Amtrak station near my parents’ home always continues to restore my faith that customer service in the travel industry still exists….
The last time I was at the station heading back down to San Diego, the ticketing agent at Amtrak greeted me:
“How‘s life treating you, Maria?”
Jim’s greeting caught me off-guard and I was shocked that he even remembered me. We got to chatting about life and where to get food near the Los Angeles Union Station (I‘m tired of Bagels Express)…I was grateful that Jim took the time to let me know his dining recommendations, despite all the grumbling behind me about how it was taking too long. Patience, people, patience.
