Well, folks, I took an "unexpected" vacation which is a very new concept for me, so I apologize for the lack of posts last week! Unexpected meaning I just wanted to slow down my blogging just a bit, but next thing I knew five days go by...oops! My intention was to post at least once a day here, but somehow I got caught up
in the beautiful weather in San Diego. I needed to be a child for awhile - you know, kick off your shoes, play in the sand, eat lots of sweets and just enjoy the sunshine! Pictured here is my God-daughter and I getting ready to leave the park...
So now my batteries are recharged and it’s full force ahead for the next month…or until I get a bad case of bloggers block again ;)
First off, I’d like to say that I’m pretty bummed about missing SobCon07 (had a prior engagement), but I did enjoy reading Phil Gerbyshak’s post about the five things he learned this past weekend. I also browsed through his Flickr photo gallery (Phil‘s smile is very energetic!), so in a way I did get to experience all the fun energy going on in Chicago! Easton Ellsworth has some great takeaways, including something he learned from Liz Strauss - definitely worth noting here:
"Relationship business is longer-lasting and funner than information business. Community is built on authentic relationships."
And that, my friends, is a great thought to start off the week!
P.S. Remember that Carnivale of Customer Service is next Monday! Email your article or blog posts to maria [at] customersarealways.com

Cute picture! Glad you are back in action! You have been sorely missed Maria!
