Update: 4/09/07 - I've changed "Fayetteville, NC" to "Robeson County" - thanks to the reader in North Carolina who notified me of my information blunder!
It looks like the majority of the commissioners and county officials in Robeson County in North Carolina could care less about customer service. There have been many complaints about how county employees have been treating customers, but officials can only think about the money. ![]()
One commissioner named Tom Taylor asks, “We got to spend $19,000 so people know to be nice to the customers?”
Another commissioner Roger Oxendine says, “If they appreciate their checks, they will be nice to people.”
All I can say is Wow. Well, no wonder employees are so unhappy - look at the people who are running the joint!
Note to self: Email the link to this blog to these two ignorant souls!

It just goes to show you that most government employees have no idea how business is ran or the importance of customer service. I live in North Carolina and absolutely hate going to city hall to get something done. :(
