The other day my best friend took me to a boutique at the new Otay Ranch Center here in San Diego. It’s called Studio 12*20 and the moment I stepped into the store I knew this was the shop for me. The displays and clothing were very unique - unlike your typical Southern California dress code (flip flops, jeans, and a tank top or some similar version). A very bubbly gal greeted me soon after I walked in. I’m sure she sized me up and down before making suggestions because everything she recommended was just my style.
Bubbly Gal: “Oh, I knew you would!”
When it was time to try the clothes on Bubbly Gal offered the big room for me and little Emma (my best friend’s daughter). The room had a big bench for Emma to sit and draw or play with the various toys neatly arranged for her. That kept her occupied while I tried on outfit after outfit. Not once did I hear a peep out of Emma. For all you mothers out there, you know that’s shopping heaven!
What this boutique did right:
1. Greeted me within seconds of entering the store
2. Anticipated my needs and recommended items that fit my style
3. Created an experience for the kids

That is indeed a shining example of good customer service. I wanted to snag this as an example on my blog, but thought it'd be better to make sure you didn't mind links to a specific post.
Other than that, very cool site, at first I was skeptical because of the lists you made on the first post I read upon entering. I'm not sure right now what it was... something about Friday and Chinese food, but after reading this post, I think I'll add it to my blogs to watch.
Thanks for proving that there -is- such a thing as good customer service.
