Some businesses tell a story that sweeps you off your feet, or at least sweeps the money out of your bank account. Other businesses just leave you with that "Hmmm" feeling, not better off with them or better off without. Marketing is about telling stories. The entire feel of your business, the look, appearance, the customer experience, your products and services - they all contribute to the story, and some are stories in themselves. But for many businesses, they just can't tell it, and as we pointed out, if you can't tell a story, you are not going to get an audience. In business, no audience means no sales.
So, what kind of story are you telling in regards to the way you treat your customers and the experience that you’re creating for them? Have you ever connected with your customers and let them know the story of how you came into business? Do they know what your business stands for and what the mission and goals are?
