
Does the Comic Industry have an obligation to provide good customer service? Well, you know my answer to this! It’s nice to hear the perspective of others from different industries because I tend to forget that customer service is in every industry. Take, for instance, this article by Heidi Meeley over at Comics Fairplay where she asks the question that so many have asked before: Is the Customer Always Right? Read her article here...
Heidi made a profound statement in her conclusion:
I want to see a turn from "we're smarter then you and know what you want" to "what isn't working and give us some suggestions".
Many of us tend to let our ego drive our actions. Just because we work in a particular industry for so-and-so years doesn’t mean that we know everything there is to know. I admit that I still don’t know everything there is to know about customer service! ![]()
Sometimes it’s good just to open ourselves up to receive feedback and suggestions. Often we get defensive when someone offers a suggestion when all they want do is help us out. Little do we know that it’s the only way we’re going to get better ;)
