I was curious to see what young people think of customer service, so I interviewed my best friend’s nine-year-old daughter. Below is the little mini-interview I had with her:
How do you feel when someone gives you great customer service?
I feel proud of that worker because they’re working very hard and if I was the
manager I would promote them.
Do you feel that customer service is a part of every business?
Yes, because I feel that every store has customer service to make life easier for people that are shopping.
What store or restaurant has the best customer service?
Ralphs because people ask if you need help bringing your stuff to the car or ask if you’re ok shopping for stuff and they still work putting stuff together and moving boxes and doing the register. For restaurants, I would say Filippi’s on India Street.
Do your kids know the meaning of customer service? Ask them - you’ll be surprised at their answers ;)
Read about Mr. Rice who went into business with his kids... I think it's important for every kid to understand business at a young age!

I wrote a similar post before, about my child's obvervation on how to please customers. :) Check it out: http://custserv.gbwatch.com/customer-relations/119.html
