
The University of Michigan released their American Customer Satisfaction Index report and what they found after surveying 15,000 consumers is that customer satisfaction with the retail sector is at its highest level since 2003. Researchers also found that price, not quality, drives consumers’ shopping decisions. ![]()
What I found interesting is that online retailers scored 12 percent higher than the industry as a whole. Amazon.com and Buy.com had the highest satisfaction rankings. I guess it’s better not to have to deal with a salesperson when you shop, huh? I’ve always been satisfied with my Amazon purchases and I love that their system knows what to present to me whenever I visit their site.
