Don Ochoa let me know about a new service for us who want to keep track of our interactions with customer service representatives of companies. Imagine being able to record every conversation you have with a company! ![]()
The new website is www.321calllog.com and is currently in beta. The system allows you to record customer service calls and have access to customer service center statistics. You can register for free, but currently it is on an “invitation only” basis. So, when you register, dear readers, use this temporary invitation code: 321comeonin
I remember reading somewhere that it is illegal to record conversations without the other party’s consent. I did a search on the web and came across this website that outlines the different laws for recording phone conversations in each state. I also came across this Q&A at Yahoo! on recording phone conversations in California (my state).
When you use the 321calllog service, there is a recording every 3 minutes during the call that notifies the customer service rep that the call is being recorded. Unless the rep objects to the recording, I assume that it’s ok to do it.
Your thoughts on this new service?

Great post - especially after having a run-in this morning with FedEx! This could definitely help with just remembering who said what in these situations.
P.S. Great blog!
