I just came across this New York Times article that talks about the possibility of more companies offering hand sanitizers to their customers.   Joe Drenik, spokesman for GOJO Industries, Inc. which makes Purell hand sanitizer, was interviewed for this article and he says that there has been an increase in availability of hand sanitizers in business because of the public perception of germs nowadays. 

Because of this supposed increase in awareness of germs and the increase in availability of hand sanitizers in business establishments, will customers begin expecting customers to offer hand sanitizers all the time?  Personally, if you ask me, I think it’s just Purell’s way of scaring people and companies into buying their products.  I haven't seen any businesses in my area offering hand sanitizer, have you? 

Anyhow, The New York Times article also says that the supermarket named Kroger Co has been offering hand sanitizing wipes near its shopping carts.  Will other companies follow suit?
