“Oh, we don’t have one in the seating area for some weird reason.”
Well, I only had an hour on my laptop before it went into hibernation mode, so instead I sat with a notebook and handwrote a couple articles. (Does anybody do that anymore?)
I noticed that the owner walked up to the lady who was drinking her coffee and exchange some words with her. I assumed he was the owner by the way he interacted and communicated with the staff. Later as I got ready to leave, he walked up to me and asked in a very heavy Latin accent, “So how was the internet connection? I heard you talking with Maricela about the lack of electrical outlets. Did you have enough power on your computer to do your work?”
“Oh, yes. Besides, I needed to practice handwriting again anyways!” I answered.
“Ok, good. When I took over this space I noticed how weird it was that there were no outlets against this wall. Well, thank you for coming in!” and he walked back to his desk - a table at the back of the little cafe.
