Ed Sykes shares a story about a time when he was Vice President of a computer services company.  He took a call from a Senior Vice President of Chase Manhattan Bank.  She was not happy with the service she had received from his company.  He made an appointment to meet with her to talk to her in person and as he rode up in the elevator to see her, he got into a conversation with some of the women in the elevator.  Well, come to find out, one of those women was the Senior Vice President of Chase Manhattan Bank.  That one small, but positive experience made way for a good business relationship between the two.
