Should We As Customers Be More Patient?
The world just seems to get faster and faster.  Internet must be speedy.  Fast food is much faster.  We want things at the snap of the fingers.  We just don’t have time to just sit back and relax anymore, do we?  speedy_3d.jpg

It’s true that customer service reps must be speedy in order for them to turn customers into raving fans, but are the expectations too high?  Are we to blame for the creation of these uncaring robots?  Are we not giving companies the chance to get to know us better? Do you know the name of the person who is helping you?

Should we as customers be more patient?

Yes, as customers we should be more patient. A friendly word or even remembering the name of the person helping you can go a VERY long way to increase the likelihood of superior service.

We are not perfect in any area of life: work, parenting, sports, faith- why would we be perfect as customers? The competetive marketplace has wisely elevated the customer to a vaunted status which has made people feel as though courtesy and obligations of truth and respect are a one-way street going to the customer only and not the other way. Make it a two way street and you will see a much more fruitful experience for the customer.
