Speaking of, Tom Vander Well of QAQnA shares his story about a tour of a college campus that he made with his daughter. The appearance and mannerisms of the freshman who gave the tour didn’t leave a very good impression with them.  If you walked into an interview with the CEO of a company and he/she was wearing ragged jeans, a sweatshirt, and couldn’t hear or understand anything he/she said, would you want to work for that company?  

When you meet customers for the first time, don’t you want to come across as confident and approachable?  Easy to do business with?  However, let’s not forget that looking good is one thing - offering phenomenal service is something else...Find balance between the two and you’re good to go ;)
