These Companies Know the True Value of Service

I just read a great article that talks about how investing in customer service can increase the “bottom-line”.  It covers several companies such as Starbucks, Westfield Malls, and Staybridge Suites.  What these companies have learned is that increasing employees or hiring more qualified candidates results in more satisfied customers.  For Starbucks, adding an extra employee to speed up service was beneficial to customers’ satisfaction.  Westfield Malls pay higher wages to attract better qualified candidates.   However, for Staybridge Suites, their main focus is simply to interact more with the guests - like asking about the family or kids back home.
