I stood there looking a bit lost when I heard a voice behind me...
“Do you need help finding something?”
I turned around to see a beer delivery guy unloading drinks in front of Croce’s. His eyes were friendly and if only I was 10 years older ;)
“Oh, yes, do you know where there’s a good place to get breakfast around here?”
“If you walk up to Sixth Ave, there’s a place called Brian’s that’s next to the Ramada.” He pointed up to the tallest building on the next street. “See that building right there? That’s where Brian’s is.”
Brian’s is a very modern looking eatery/pub with art on the walls,
When the food came, my eyes grew big. It looked muy delicioso! After a few minutes Rodrigo came by to see how everything was going.
“Are you happy?” he asked.
I nodded with a big smile on my face. Kudos to Rodrigo for checking on me... The host came by to refill my iced tea and towards the end of my meal Rodrigo came by again to make sure everything was ok.
In the spirit of the Bathroom Blogfest I checked out the restroom and loved the decor - even the sign over the toilet that said “Tequila” (Ha! Only in California!)
I would give my experience in Brians’ Eatery 4 out of 5 stars. The host who greeted me could have been more cheerful, but they made up for it with the food ;)
Brian's Eatery and Drinkery is located at 828 Sixth Ave between "E" and "F" Street in downtown San Diego's Gaslamp District.

Oh man! You made me hungry.-) You and I have similar breakfast tastes. I look forward to next week when I won't be working and can go out and eat big unhealthy breakfasts and drink gallons of coffee.
Great story.
Regards,
Glenn
