Since I was at the Hershey’s website, I decided to do my own little review of their customer service page. I do like that they have their phone number and the time that they are available to take phone calls. Then it was off to their form contact page where I had to enter my date of birth in order to even get to the actual form page.
Now I understand that companies want as much information about their customers for their own marketing research, but I don’t think it should be a requirement in order for someone to ask a question via their website. I think an email address is ok to ask for so the company could contact you back, but having to input my street address and birth date is a little much for me.
What do you think?

I agree, Maria. Unless I agree to a "survey" with the company or I choose to apply for some service from the company, an email address is about all I'm willing to offer.
