My fellow customer service blogger at Service Untitled has created a free PDF download of an article titled “An Executive’s Guide to Customer Service” which provides one of the secrets to creating a great business. Doug says something that I would like to nominate as the Customer Service Thought for the Day:
“Do not let customer service be another phase or project of the month at your company. Make customer service a permanent and ongoing commitment and focus.”
Customer service is and will be the only thing that will determine whether or not your company will succeed in the long run. (I know I’ve said a dozen times before!) I was talking to a friend the other day and told her that she should spend less on advertising and focus more on her customer service, but she insisted that her advertising has brought in quite a bit of revenue in the past couple months. However, it’s what you do with those first time customers…Sure, it’s a sale, but what about repeat business?
What are you doing today to create repeat business?

Maria,
As always, thank you for the link! :) Customer Service Thought of the Day - fancy! A big problem is companies only make customer service a short term project, and then wonder why it doesn't work and give up.
