According to an article at Reuters, airlines are still having a hard time with customer service. Apparently the biggest complaints that people have when it comes to dealing with the airlines is that the airlines are very slow to communicate, if at all, when there are delays or cancellations of flights. ![]()
You would think that airlines would be better at communicating with their customers. My first thought to the complaint was, “Well, can’t these airlines simply post any delays or cancellations on their website?” According to the article, only 5 of 16 carriers made this type of information available on their website.
Another solution I came up with is to collect the email address of the passengers to alert them of any delays. Many people have their emails linked to their cell phone, so they can know instantly of any cancellations or delays. It’s bad enough we have to wait an hour or two or three to catch a flight nowadays - add on any delays and you will have some very unhappy customers!
