What's Most Important In Life? Money or Customers?
I overheard a conversation today while I was in Starbucks... Two women were talking about “what’s important in life“.  One woman said, Money is not important.  It’s just a means for you to eat and have a roof over your head.  What’s most important is your relationships with friends and family.”

It made me think about all these business owners whose first
Click Adam Sandler.jpg priority is money.  This weekend I watched “Click” with Adam Sandler and how he basically fast forwards his life to become a partner with the company he works for and misses out on the relationships with his family.  I realized how much we miss out in life by running the rat race and chasing after money, status, and prestige.

When we’re too focused on the money, we tend to forget about the customers and our relationships with them.  There needs to be a good balance between both.

So, what’s your priority?  What do you value?

Just stay balanced and focused on your goals in life. I always put my family before my job, however I do need my income to support my family. I do sometimes work on my days off for extra money, but if my kids are sick or they need my attention, work comes second. I think you can be a professionally successful and still have a great family, actually my family helps me work, great for motivation.

I understand having to make money to support the family, but all too often people get caught up in the work and "wanting more" that they end up neglecting the family....

after to win the necessay for to support my sons my priority is just to leave in peace ; )

We all want to have a happy life, to get to watch our kids grow up, have kids of their own, and be happy together, but just like this movie "Click" points out, we sometimes miss the important things in life. Like, just this Sunday, I was at the office working late hours, thinking of all the extra money I'll be making if I get the promotion, but then it hit me, "what's money if you're not satisfied with your life, and you haven't found your balance?" You make a good point there, Topologies.

Patricia,

Yes, living in peace is definitely one of the things at the top of the list!

Topologies,

A good well-balanced life is one of the things I'm working on this year. I love my customers, but I also need to have a personal life as well ;)

Thanks for joining the conversation!

Relationship is first money always follows.. be it selling or service
