What a Messy Store Can Do To Your "Bottom-Line"
I was in Michael’s yesterday - on the hunt for some elastic to make stretch bracelets.  It has been awhile since I’ve been in Michael’s and was captivated by everything.  It’s like being in a candy shop, you know!  The bead section takes up about three aisles and I searched and searched and searched for elastic.  It became a little overwhelming because there were boxes in the aisles and it was pretty disorganized....more like “havoc” and “chaos”.  How do they expect customers to find anything? I thought to myself.  I figured I’d just go to the bead store this weekend instead.  dollar sign.jpg

So that was $3 that Michael’s lost from me yesterday.  Now imagine if there were about 100 people like me who came into that same Michael’s and couldn’t find what they needed because of the mess.
100 x $3 = $300 = The amount in sales the company could have lost yesterday from one store

Now let’s say that there were about 20 other stores in the Michael’s chain that were messy and disorganized....

$300 x 20 = $6,000 = The amount of sales the company could have lost yesterday altogether

Now multiply that by 30 and you get $180,000 in sales that Michael’s could lose in a month!

And you wonder if the little things count?
