One idea that was brought up was to have color-coded taxi lights that indicate which cabs don’t take customers with alcohol. Others say that if you are providing a public service, you don’t a have a right to discriminate:
“...if you provide a public accomodation, you have to accomodate the public -- all of the public. A cabbie, like a restaurant or hotel, has NO right to refuse passengers purely on the basis of religion -- either the customer's or the provider's. Cabbies that wish to serve the public damned well better take ALL of the public, or surrender their hack license and find a new line of work.”

Any thoughts?

Who would want to get into a cab with someone who wears a flea infested turban, and a dynamite belt under his robe?
