
My friend who sells Avon tells me that the company does this pretty often with their beauty products. Sometimes I help her sell Avon at our local swap meet and women are thrown off by the change in packaging. When I show them the product that they are looking for, they often say, “Oh, no, that’s not it. It looks like this...” I have to tell them that Avon changed the packaging. The answer I usually get is, “Now why would they do that?”
So the lesson for the day is: Don’t confuse your customer by changing the way a product looks. Spend that money on improving your service!
