
“Hi, my name is Maria and I’ve been waiting here at the residence of Gerald ***** for over four hours for the plumber to show up. I talked to you an hour ago and you said the plumber would be here in an hour. He is still not here and it’s been over an hour. This is completely unacceptable customer service. I was the person who referred Gerald to your company, but if this is the way you treat your customers then I will never, ever, refer someone to your company again...”
This is the voice mail I left for the owner of a plumbing company here in San Diego. Thirty seconds later I receive a phone call from the owner who says in a frantic voice, “We’ll be there very soon! Don’t leave! We’ll be there!”
