This is advice I would give to those corporate execs that are stuck in an office all day – especially those big wigs working for big wig companies. Get out of that office and go visit with your customers. Don’t get caught up in your corporate bubble that you lose touch of what’s really important to your company – which is actually step 2 mentioned in the post on becoming a compassionate designer.
I think it should be mandatory for CEO’s and upper executives of a company to spend at least two – four weeks out of the year to go out and interview customers or conduct customer review panels. What about this – hold a conference for customers once a year?
