The founders of Consumer Reports Magazine are branching off into new territory by coming out with a new magazine called Shop Smart that is targeted to women. Realizing that women are actually the members of the household who do the most shopping, they’ve created this magazine that let’s them know what is “the best” out there today. It’s supposed to be less wordy than Consumer Reports and have more appealing, colorful graphics. I'll let you know when I get my hands on one of the magazines...
Speaking of women doing the majority of the shopping in the
household, I give a pat on the back to those businesses that cater to women. For instance, putting a little baby changing station in the bathroom is always good. I walked into a Starbucks yesterday and the bathroom was very roomy, had the baby changer, smelled great (the morning rush hadn’t hit yet!), and was decorated quite nicely for just a bathroom. I could’ve sat in there and did my work if they’d let me ;)
Can you think of any other ways businesses can make it easier for women to shop with them?
