I’m thrilled to announce the first edition of the Carnivale of Customer Service! Sit back, relax, and take some notes because each of these bloggers featured for this first edition have much wisdom to share!
It is my hope that people will learn not only from this blog, but from others just how important customer service is in business these days. Thanks to all the bloggers who participated. I enjoyed reading their posts and I know you will too ;)
This first edition has an open theme, meaning the bloggers were able to choose any aspect of customer service that they wanted to talk about. So without further ado...
Service Untitled offers the five W’s of a training program that, in his experience, works very well for customer service representatives. In my own experience, mentoring is indeed effective in helping a rep grasp the fundamentals of customer service.
Nick Rice of Strategic Design says that customer service has to be “part of your being”. He learned early on his working career that going above and beyond for the customer pays off and to treat “everyone - everyone - with courtesy and respect”.
Dr. Ellen Weber of Brain Based Business looks at customer service from a psychological point of view. Get into customers’ brains and “respect their wide mix of intelligences”.
Mike Sansone of ConverStations says that “Patience is a Song” and that it is the tune we should be humming when it comes to working with customers. By the way, Mike is a great poet. Take some time to read his blog and learn more about blogging!
Meikah Delid of CustServ shares a story about a COO of a company who goes out to talk to the customers, an act that motivated and inspired them to send more business his way.
Thanks again to those who participated...If you would like to host an upcoming carnivale, contact me at maria [at] customersarealways.com.
Have a great week!

Hi, Maria! This is such a great idea, eh! Congratulations to everyone who shared an excellent story about customer service for this first edition. I look forward to the succeeding editions. Happy blogging everyone! :-D
