Part of being a blogger about customer service is that you also get to be a "mystery shopper" and share your good and bad customer service experiences. Since I'm all about positive experiences, today I'd like to share an outing at Chipotle restaurant. If you check out the Chipotle website, you can immediately tell that they're a different type of restaurant. Here are the words of Steve Ells, Founder & CEO:
"When I created Chipotle in 1993, I had a very simple idea: Offer a simple menu of great food prepared fresh each day, using many of the same cooking techniques as gourmet restaurants. Then serve the food quickly, in a cool atmosphere. It was food that I wanted, and thought others would like too. We've never strayed from that original idea. The critics raved and customers began lining up at my tiny burrito joint. Since then, we've opened a few more."
Talk about serving food quickly! I counted not one or two, but six people lined up ready to put together my burrito, which was excellent, by the way - and it's not your typical greasy burrito either. It's made fresh to order any way you want it. The restaurant is always clean and has plenty of seating. The upbeat music is a big plus too. When the cashier rang me up, she gave me my change and said, "Have a nice day!" However, I could tell she really meant it ;)
