Stan DeVaughn of Branding Post has a message to share:
Memo to anyone whose title, or whose boss's title contains the word "marketing": think of yourself primarily as a "customer" person, not a "marketing" person. It will make you a vastly better marketing person. And it will keep you "off your set route".
I'm not one for "labels" myself. When you think of yourself as married to a particular job description, then you limit yourself when it comes to better serving the customer. Customers especially could care less what your title is. They just want you to help them solve their particular need or problem.

Right, Maria! Customers don't care if you're the manager or not. In fact, when you give them excellent service they would think highly of you, even if you're a non-officer in the company. It's how you make them feel when they are with you that matters.
