Service Untitled has an interview with Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist.org. I find it quite interesting that Craig still considers himself a "customer service rep" - which I think is actually a good thing. With thousands of emails sitting in his email box, Craig still finds the time to stay in contact and deal with customers on a daily basis.
I also like that Craig believes in the Golden Rule:
"Well, I think everyone should do the right thing and that that would mean, doing some of the same things we do. I’m not putting us up as a role model or anything. I’m making a somewhat subtle distinction, because there are many ways to get the same results. What I’m fundamentally saying is, people should treat other people like they want to be treated."
I don't care who you are - CEO, window washer, account rep....whatever - if you abide by the Golden Rule at all times, there is no doubt that you will succeed in business.
By the way, I'm constantly on Craigslist and I highly recommend the site if you're looking for a job, selling a home, or simply want some free stuff! For me, Craigslist is probably one of the best things that's happened on the internet ;)
