David Lorenzo has a great post today about "SuperAchievers" which I felt is fitting to share with you here because I think these characteristics can definitely be applied to Superachievers in customer service. If you have these characteristics, you'll definitely be successful in your customer service career:
1) Confidence
2) Persistence
3) Honesty
4) Humor
5) Integrity
6) Compassion
7) Dependability
8) Enthusiasm
9) Patience - very much needed if you want to survive in customer service!
10)Respect

My top three would be:
1) Honesty - There's no point in lying. You'll always get caught one way or another.
2) Patience - The hardest thing to achieve, but the rewards are well worth it.
3) Respect - You don't have to like someone or agree with them, but they deserve your respect - especially customers
Anything you'd like to add to this list?

I'll add:
1. Knowledge - we must know and learn everything there is in the business we are in.
2. Creativity - we gotta think out of the box and explore ways to do better.
3. Empathy - closely related to Compassion, we need to share our customers' feelings or experiences by imagining what it would be like to be in their situation
Nice exercise, Maria!
